A List of Herbs I Want You to Taste in My Mind in Another Language is a chapbook that features poems from Stacey Tran's full-length title Soap for the Dogs, forthcoming from Gramma in 2018. Printed with Risograph, in collaboration with Cold Cube Press. Published in an edition of 75, saddle stitched. 9.25 x 6.75 inches. 12pp.
Tran's poetics combine a speaker's soulful present tense (I think I love wearing t-shirts here), who also contains the agency to speak towards her parents' immigrant history (Hunger was always a theme at the dinner table). Never nostalgic yet always charged, Tran interchanges an ode that looks back, forward, up and down all at once.
Stacey Tran is a writer from Portland, OR. She curates Tender Table and her writing can be found in diaCRITICS, The Fanzine, Gramma, and The Volta.
